Eisteddfod Home

Looking for something to see and do during August this year that's a little bit different? Look no further than The Works in Ebbw Vale, home to this year's National Eisteddfod, held from 31 July - 7 August.

It's a heady mix of music, literature, culture, dance, young and vibrant festival with cutting edge fringe activities - and one of the best atmospheres in the world.

There's a warm welcome for everyone at the Eisteddfod, whether you speak Welsh or not. It's a celebration of the language but music, culture and Welsh 'hwyl' can be enjoyed universally - and in any language - so why not join the thousands of local people who've already said that they'll give it a go in 2010?

There's over 160,000 visitors during the week, with open air performance stages, an onsite theatre, impromptu street performances, over 600 activities for children and families and much more. And if you've got any energy left at the end of the day, there's a bustling nightlife at the Eisteddfod, with Wales' largest Welsh language music festival - Maes B - held close to the Maes (site) every evening during the week.

You can't miss the Eisteddfod, with it's great big pink pavilion and over 300 trade stands and stalls of all kinds, all crammed together to create the best shopping experience ever, with a great atmosphere that can only be described as 'Eisteddfod'!
