Summer's almost here, and it's time to announce the line up for this year's fantastic Maes B festival - with loads of top names guaranteed to attract local music lovers, reinforcing Maes B’s important role in the Welsh language music calendar.
This year, we're working with the Welsh Language Society to ensure that the best entertainment possible is offered to a wide-ranging audience, providing opportunities for new artists.
Maes B opens on Saturday 31 July with Clinigol, Tokin4wa, Cyrion, El Parisa and DJ Nia Medi.
On Monday and Tuesday evenings, it’s the Maes B Battle of the Bands competition.
Wednesday night is bound to be popular with Derwyddon Dr Gonzo, Y Promatics, Creision Hud, Jen Jeniro and Just Like Frank.
Then on Thursday evening, it’s Cate le Bon, Yr Ods, Plant Duw, Wyrligigs, Adrift and DJ Huw Stephens.
The final weekend gets off to a great start with Bryn Fôn a’r Band, Gwibdaith Hen Fran, Y Bandana and Y Betti Galws.
Everything wraps up on 7 August, with Elin Fflur, Masters in France, Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog, Nos Sadwrn Bach, Crwydro and DJ Magi Dodd.
And if you've got any energy left after all that, there'll be loads of performances on the live performance stages on the Maes throughout the week.
With so much on offer, it’s bound to be a week to remember for anyone who enjoys Welsh language music. Remember, the line up for Maes C will be announced over the coming weeks and the Welsh Language Society is also organising alternative evenings at Ebbw Vale Rugby Club.
Tickets will go on sale over the coming weeks, and details will be announced very soon.
